Baja Day 5 - Last Day

Woke up to another beautiful sunset. My plane took off at 2:00 so we spent the morning fishing. I caught two nice trigger fish which Bruce quickly fried up for us the enjoy. It was some of the best fish I have ever tasted. The meat was white and thick like halibut; amazing! We then headed into town, had lunch, shared some beers, and headed to the airport. The Slaydens are one of the most sharing, fun, and relaxed families I have ever known. I love them.

Baja Day 4

The sunset coming up on the mountain was a beautiful sight. Today was very chill, we went into town, swam in the cold water, played some cards, and did some fishing. That night I hooked up a rod and caught a catfish. Justin went into town for take out and we shared a delicious meal.

Baja Day 3

Day 3 - I woke up to room service breakfast and the sweet sound of the ocean. The sun was out and we hit up the pool and jacuzzi before heading back on the road to Loreto. The drive back seemed faster than getting there. We stopped at a Starbucks and I grabbed a Pacifico for the back seat. Once we got to the boat, we played cards and relaxed.

Baja Day 2

We all packed into the car and drove six hours south to pick up Eddie from Cabo. Ellie and I got to bond in the back, back seat. She said that I'm "like her new cousin because I'm so tiny". Anyways, Bruce and Nora decided to spoil us and set us up in a million star hotel where they lavished us with caviar, vodka, and many other delightful treats. I even had lunch ocean side after Eddie and I went snorkeling. Good day indeed.

Loreto, Baja Mexico Day 1

Yesterday, I arrived to smiling faces and a well fitted sailboat. The Slaydens are treating me very well, I have a comfortable bed to sleep in, a nice bathroom, and all the vegan food and beer I want to consume. The Ruby Kiss is the name of this fun-filled vessel and she is stout and sturdy. We are anchored in a quiet marina where Pelicans dive for fish and I am not shy to cast my fly rod. It's nice to get out of Portland for a few days and enjoy the sun.

We grabbed lunch and walked around the town before we got to the boat and it's very cute. It's small, not full of tourists, and locals don't bother you to buy shit.

I wish Gabbie was also here with me and that I had all of my front teeth...

Time

I was showing a friend my blog today and realized that it has been years since my last post. I need to get back on it! So for today I will just post some pics of my life since my last post and hopefully keep up with my online journal.
