My Dad took the train south to join me for two days of fishing on The Deschutes River. The fishing wasn't off the hook but, it wasn't so bad either. My dad caught a fourteen incher and I, just two small guys. I did have a couple of big takes, which I missed. I didn't really mind the mediocre fishing because the sun was out, the beer was cold, and I got to spend some time with my dad. The wildlife was top notch because I saw: a family of Merganzers, 6 Blue Herons, 6-8 Chuckers, 2 snakes, Salmon Flies, and one Muskrat.
